Music industry in an online age

Students, you will be answering a question in your exam about the Music Industry and how changes in patterns of Production (Making) ,Marketing(Advertising), Distribution (Getting it out there to audiences) and Concumption (Audiences using it) have changed due to technological advances. This presentation will get you thinking about how audiences have consumed music in the past, how we consume it presently and maybe how we will consume it in the future. Over Easter you must read this and make notes. Ta.

Evaluation Q7

Looking back at the prelim task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

This question is asking you to reflect upon your skills progression from the start of your AS product to the final AS product. You will need to audit all the ways in which you have progressed- your research and planning, construction, post production and your use of audience and audience feedback. You could create a table, a pixton cartoon, a piece to camera...be visual.

You would be wise to carry out a full audit, screen shot some examples of progression, show how you orgainsed your time, actors and shoot much better and accessed your audience feedback more effectively.

Think about how to present this visually. Try adding film as well as a table and so on.

Evaluation Q6

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

You may have used all or some of the following in constructing your product ( see below.) Audit what technologies you have used in the 3 stages of production - Research and planning, Construction, Post Production (editing) and then in the presenation of your evaluation.
You can present this in a colourful and creative way ( see my Q4 answer on my A2 BLOG) and you must evaluate which bits of technology were the most useful.
Did you learn that technologies are invaluable in creating successful products? I hope so! Have you learned how useful technologies can be in creating a professional product- making changes after audience feedback are made much easier and what about getting that swift audience feedback on your product? Hopefully you will comment that it was much more efficient due to new media technology- smart phones, social networking and so on.
